VICRYL® 9-0 V449G is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture made from polyglactin 910. It is a fine violet, double-armed suture designed for precise soft-tissue approximation and ligation where an absorbable suture is required. It provides reliable initial tensile strength and is gradually absorbed by the body over approximately 56–70 days.
